History
Paw Partners Unleashed was founded in January of 2016 as Desert Diva Dogs, a women’s Meetup Group for dog-lovers. At that time, the group met at social gatherings and brought pet supplies to donate to local animal rescues in the Las Vegas Valley.
The main inspiration behind the organization was due to this beautiful Husky, Lacey. In 2014, President/Founder, Eileen Jones fostered a very ill Lacey and her puppies for a local rescue. The unfortunate passing of Lacey left her Husky/Akita mix pups orphaned at only three weeks of age. Eileen and her husband experienced first-hand what rescue organizations go through with expenses and heartache. Seeing that several animal rescue organizations often struggle to obtain support with donations of supplies, fosters, and other expenses, Eileen thought of ways to help, and gathered friends to develop the Desert Diva Dogs Meetup Group. After launching in January 2016, the group generated numerous donations from the community and interest from multiple rescue organizations. With this rapid growth, Desert Diva Dogs became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in June of 2016.
The decision was made to change the organization name Desert Diva Dogs to Paw Partners Unleashed in November of 2019 to better convey what we do as a service organization, partnering with animal organizations to help animals in need. Today, we collect and donate supplies to more than 45 animal rescues and community organizations in Las Vegas and surrounding cities and states. Our Rescue Partner and Community Programs are designed to help our partners reduce expenses by providing supplies for the comfort and care of pets in transition. Through our Pins for Paws Program, we help our rescue partners with veterinary expenses by donating one hundred percent of the event proceeds to the designated animal hospital of the randomly selected Rescue of the Month.
Each year, we try to enhance or develop new programs to offer additional ways to help our rescue and community partners. Join our community and watch us grow, or better yet, help us make an impact on the lives of animals.
